Sea Scallops in Bacon


1-1/2 lbs. sea scallops

1 lb. bacon

1/2 cup ACADEMIE Blend #2 white wine

1/4 cup butter, melted

1 tbsp lemon juice

1/2 tsp garlic salt

1/2 tsp paprika

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Melt butter and wine together. Add garlic salt and lemon juice. Wash scallops and pat dry and then place them in the wine and butter sauce. Allow to marinate for 30 minutes. Individually wrap each scallop with a bacon strip and fasten with a toothpick. Depending on taste you may wish to halve each bacon strip before wrapping. Place wrapped scallops in a baking pan or dish that will fit in a broiler. Garnish with parsley and paprika for color. Put in broiler and cook for approximately 8 minutes and then turn them over and cook until they just start to brown.
