never cook with a wine wouldn't drink

Lean & Chunky Spaghetti Sauce


3/4 cup ACADEMIE blend #1 wine

1 Lb lean ground beef or turkey

1 26 oz jar Classico Mushrooms and ripe olives pasta sauce

1 11.5 oz can V8 vegetable juice

1 7 oz can mushrooms, drained

1 Tbsp garlic powder

1 Tbsp dried Basil

1 Tbsp dried Oregano

1 Tbsp dried Parsley

1 Tsp salt or to taste

Spray a large skillet with cooking spray and heat over medium heat. Add meat and crumble. Stir occasionally until meat is browned thoroughly. In a 2 qt saucepan add all other ingredients except wine. Heat thoroughly. Add cooked meat to the saucepan and heat thoroughly for approximately 10 minutes. Add and stir in wine. Serve over hot pasta. Top with Parmesan cheese.

If sauce is too thick thin with more V8 or wine.
